Are they necessary on all broadhead set ups?

hi, do you mean between the point and shaft or for mechanicals? when used between the point and shaft they help keep the head tight. also if your shooting fixed blades they allow for some adjustment without turning your inserts- Kevin

$% I was talking about between the broadhead and shaft.I am relalatively new to bow hunting.I was told that there are broadheads out there that do not need the o-rings.I have only shot 2 types, that being muzzys and steele force.I was just wondering, as I have had to use o-rings on both of these models to keep the broadheads from loosening up.Thanks

I've used the 4 blade 90 gr. muzzy for years. No O-rings required. They fly very well, usually pass through (unless you hit too much bone) and have killed every deer I have ever hit with them. They are also very tough. The only blade I've ever broken was when I buried one in the spine of a deer.

I use them all the time when ever i shoot broadheads. it makes it easy to line the blades up with the veins
