Switched to feather vanes- shot couple a deer . Arrows seem OK-feather has blood and fat on them- How one should wash it without damaging it. Also in the rain they get wet and look rough. Suggestions, please! olegburn Shot at biggest buck this morning-rushed the shot- grazed him. That bruin ran few yards-I waited for him to fall over-did not reload right away - and it walked off into woods. Minute later it started snorting like crazy- 15 times at least ( can tell it was mad)before walking away in a wide circle. I almost started snorting myself . Shot a doe half hour later-felt better.Urban permit-only $15. But I won't mind paying $24 as long as that tag lands on big buck like that. Well, now have to wash arrows and re-sharpen broadheads.

Peroxide works well. You may have to soak it.

Sounds like you got it done, but I heard window cleaner (Windex)does a good job of removing blood. I haven't tried it on feathers though as I shoot Blazer vanes.
