I'm about to refletch my arrows and I'm wondering if these new 2" long hunting vanes are any good? I shoot Easton ACC with a 100 grain Thunderhead with 3 4" feathers and have a 9% FOC with this combination. For rainy days I have another quiver set up the same but with 3 4" vanes whose FOC run a snitch under 7%.
I've always been a feather shooter but with my new fall away rest, I'm thinking of going to vanes if I can maintain a reasonable FOC. Are these new 2" long hunting vanes like - Qickspin ST Speed Hunter, Bohning'd Blazer, and Plastifletch's Max Hunter do what the manufactures claim as far as stabilizing your broadheads? Any help would be apreciated.

The blazers work great ! They are the most accurate vane I have ever shot ! I shoot them with goldtips steelforce heads and a muzzy zero effect !

Blazer's You'll be real happy that you did? Even if you put some heilcal to them. I changed last year and improved my groups quite a bit, My broadheads fly better as well?

I'm a very avid bowhunter but a horrible tech in terms of understanding the reasons why this and that works. However, my best friend is a bow surgeon....a complete pro who gets all the techno stuff. He set me up this past season with the smaller vanes so that I get better clearance with the drop-away rest he installed and all I can say is....I shoot more consistently with them.
