They are doing very well. Bud now has his halter on. Comet began his lead training today and Bud will be right behind him. Both are growing in leaps and bounds. They're really putting away some food and milk. It won't be long before we can walk them out of their pen and introduce them to Star. Just wanted to share with everyone how they are doing. Hopefully before long I'll get some more pictures for you.

I wish you all could've seen me as I'm sure I looked a sight. I used 2 lead lines to get Comet moving. They were of differing lengths. The short one was to see if a small pull would get him moving on his own. If not, I would pull on the other one (about 15 ft. long) that was attached to halter, but also wrapped around his hindquarters to encourage him to walk. Worked like a charm.
Hopefully within the next couple of days they'll both be leading well enough to try some "outside the pen" walks. I don't want to take Comet out until I'm reasonably confident that he's not going to be breaking away etc.

Comet has now been out of the pen a few times, sometimes with Bud along, sometimes alone. He's doing pretty well leading. We have a small incline that goes to the house and when I lead him up the incline, you can definitely tell he has a gait. Right now we are focusing on the fence and giving them more room to run/play and burn some of that energy off. Their current pen is just too small for them, so we are building a bigger one that will be an adjoining one. It will give them 1/4 acre or thereabouts to wander around.
