We are going after the birds tommorow. We have 18 permits that need to be filled between three of us and will try to get a few birds. Two of my buddies killed 6 yesterday in a spot i told them to go to so i feel confident we will get on them.

We saw 4 hens but couldnt get close enough to shoot. We have had as many as 50 roosting on one ridge but apparently they have moved off to another roost.

Highteck, here in Tennessee we are allowed 3 bearded birds in the spring. In the fall we can take on bird either sex during the archery season. After that we have a fall season that is split into two hunts, each consisting of one week that we can harvest a fall bird.We have drawings. Each County has a number of tags they can distribute. If a county doesnt give out all of its allotment in the drawing we can get extra one by calling our Wildlife agency and requesting the extras.Of the group of people i know that hunt in the fall also, there has been approx 50 birds taken. We have lots and lots of turkeys here.

3 bearded birds in the spring season!!!!
How much is an out of state license? What are the regs. for out of state hunters?(hunter educatuion corse required or anything like that)
I might just have to make a trip that way next spring. There is an area that I go ATV riding out there near Oliver Springs. I could make a trip to hunt and ride.

Our Lic cost's are going up next season so i dont know if this is going to be accurate or not. Non resident 7 day all game lic -$105.50 Anyone born after Jan-1-1969 has to have a Hunters Education Certificate. If you hunt on a WMA Hunters Education is required reguardless.
