hey does any one know of any good vids or dvds on how to prep a turkey after you get one. i got a nice one 2 years ago and some one told me the best way is to skin it. so i did . and then some one told me the best way to cook it its too deep fry but you have to pluck it . SOOOOO id like a good vid to explain all this to me so i dont ruin another turkey!!!

If turkey a decent size say over 15 lbs I like to roast them...skin on. Same as pheasant. Sometimes i will put a lil roaster chicken(4-6 lbs) in roaster(COVERED) and do together. Adds moisture. I have also covered turkey with several strips of canadian bacon & roasted. Key is, do not over cook. Takes far less time than domestic turkey and cover legs with foil or they will be dog chewies. ;D
Never tried deep frying but hear that is a good method plus would likely seal in moisture.

ok so turkey season starts 4/26/08 and im going with my dad so i was wondering if any one could give me a good way to PLUCK a turkey cause id like to deep fry.
