Indiana will be having our first season for fall turkey hunting. I've been told it’s a very different type of hunt compared to a spring hunt. So, I'm looking for good input and details as to what to expect. Anyone with experience with fall turkey hunting is certainly welcome to add to this thread as we in Indiana welcome your input.

Hunting fall birds can be done in different ways but the preferred way to do it down here is to find a flock and bust them up. Litterally run at them, holler, scream, kick or whatever you can do to flush them into all different directions. Then sit down quickly and kee-kee softly. Before long some of the busted up birds will come sneaking or running in to get grouped up again. Its not uncommon for a group of 2-4 guys to get 25 birds in one day. Lots of fun but lots of cleaning also...
