Around two months must pass before I can set up and anxiously wait for a gobbler to come in to my calls. Already I am thinking of how the leaves will be the size of squirrel ears and the dogwoods will be blooming. How the buds on hickory are swelling and all the little birds and animals are getting the spring fever. I think of that 20 gauge mossberg and will slip a couple of 4s in to make sure all is well. Then there is a little practicing the calling and the rest is just left with a strong desire to go and the need to wait. I will visit our hunting acres to see if the flocks are beginning to scatter, maybe hear some early gobbling and just get more and more eager to begin. Any suggestions on how to handle this?
