I took a long break from turkey hunting. The last time I really hunted turkeys was in 1989 and it was shotgun hunting. There were many factors that kept me from hunting the last 15+ years and fortunately, I think I have resolved them! ;D
This year I got cocky and decided it was bow turkey or bust. It's looking to be bust so far, but I have to admit it is my fault. I had chances to close the deal and I blew it. Oh well, I've had a great time and wouldn't trade a minute of it!
Good luck everyone!

Don't beat up on yourself. If a turkey could smell like a deer then none would be killed. I have taken three with a crossbow but these were all from a blind.

Just a follow up, though rather late. I didn't fill my archery turkey tag. Doesn't bother me a bit!!! Had a great time trying. Since I didn't capitalize on a couple of opportunities, I was able to hunt the whole season. ;D Half empty, half full??? ;D
