Take some advil. Oh.....this is a GOOD fever!
The turkeys around here are in great shape so far this winter. In general their numbers are down but the winter has been mild.
I may try to bow hunt them this year. I'm not a very good turkey hunter but I know one. I've filmed a few hunts with him and his son. I've trolled the woods with him and his son trying to strike up birds and participated in a few very exciting hunts.
The trickery is by far the most fun for me. Like waterfowling. Getting something to come to you. And unlike waterfowl, wild turkeys are great eating.....IMO IMO IMO
I wish rattling worked as good on deer as good turkey hunting works on turkeys.
Awesome pictures.

WOW, Savage shooter what great pictures. I noted that they are recent also. My fever is easily elevated and I am looking forward to warmer weather and getting out there. I need to start feeding them because there were very few acorns this year. I don't know if we will have a good population or not in my area. Thanks for sharing the pictures. To heck with deer. This is where the hunters blood boils. Ben
