The Savage ML-10 is a 50 cal. muzzle loader. I also have one in the 10-MLSS-II. Next month my wife and I are going to Newfoundland to hunt moose and caribou. One of the guns we will be taking is the Savage 10-MLSS-II. The bullet I selected for that hunt is the Barnes 290 gr. TMZ. I have shot this bullet at 100 and 200 yards with very good accuracy. The muzzle velocity with the load I am using is just under 2,400 fps. Have a great hunt!

Currently I am using 70.0 grs. of VVN130. This has produced a muzzle velocity of slightly less than 2,400 fps. At 100 yards the groups are about 2 1/2" high, and at 200 yards about 2" low. Accuracy is good at under 1 1/2 MOA with five shot groups. Have a great hunt.

My advise is that you repost this question over at the "Savage Muzzleloading Message Board" at this website and then prepair your self for much reading as that board is populated with a lot of great helpfull 10ML-1 and 10ML-II experts.
Oh, BTW congrats on the unit 15 tag.
