Yeah I saw that too. Very impressive, if actually true, but also kind of irresponsible, don't you think?

Yeah, irrisponsible.
Unless.....this guy could go to the range with all that fancy computer gadgetry and print 10 inch groups all day in a calm wind at that range.
Also, from the map shown in the article, it appears to be a steep uphill shot. If so, a normal range finder will give you the actual yardage, as the crow flies, and not the horizontal equivelant yardage. At that range, a 25 yd error could cause a complete miss.
Anyway, if the story is true....GREAT shot(s). Just don't expect to slam stuff every time way out there where your heartbeat moves the crosshairs a foot.

Quite a little story. They lugged a computer and a 15lb. rest up there to shoot that elk...and the guy with bronchitus and arthritus made 2 steady, perfect shots with a borrowed rifle. Amazing. The guy has alot of followers too I see. One thing about these sites...we can all be the best shots that God ever put on this earth.
