I was at my cabin for the weekend and on Saturday morning I had to go to the store for a few things. I just turned the corner at our sub division and there on the side of the road were 4 very nice bucks, all still wearing their head gear. They were all mature bucks and all had impressive head gear. Several other smaller bucks include a spike were seen. Just seems to me they have usually shed their antlers by this time of year. They're obviously well feed and in great shape.

I just picked up my 2007 mount yesterday. The taxidermist I used this year raises deer as pets. He has 2 pibald bucks that still have their horns right now....very late. Both look like they score about 100...not too big but nice. As I waited for the guy to come out of his house, these 2 bucks did some heavy duty sparring which was weird. These are penned up deer and I don't know how this affects them differently from free range.
RAF where was your camera? I miss the pictures of those big monsters you always see, feed and capture on film. (lucky dog)

The camera was back in the Cabin. It was shortly after 8 am and I was on the way to the store to grab a few things for breakfast. Never occurred to me to take a camera along
