Does anyone have one? Do you like it? I am thinking about getting one.Seems like it would be more valuable to those that did a great deal of reloading.I am loading for four guns as of now but will be increasing to others in the very near future.

Have at times contemplated of acquiring RCBS Trim Mate – Case Prep Center but the price for it and separate accessories required have held me back from doing so. Another area I thought about is the mouth of the case when de-burring and chamfering of possibly being too easy in producing an unwanted knife-edge. But like any tool once you get accustomed and familiar with it you can usually produce the desired results. In this case if you decide to go ahead and acquire one I would be interested in hearing your comments. Currently do not know another re-loader who owns one. Ed T

I have a dillon power trimmer for my 30-06,.308,.223 and other assorted rifle calibers. If you load alot, this is the only one to get IMO.

Thanks Rifleman.
Now tell me how it works.. ;D I went to there sight and read up on the "power trimmer". Is that what you have? If so how exactly does it work? The info i read was somewhat limited or at least it was to me but that may be on account i know nothing about Dillon. I did see it had a vacuum to pull the shavings out.

You get a resize die for the caliber you are loading say .223, this is made for the trimmer, you must use the dillon die for this, not just any resize die. You can use the die to resize your brass, but that is a pain because it does not decap. So you can either get a universal decap die and decap in one step, then resize and trim in another. Or what I do is use a Redding match grade die for semi autos, set it up to resize and decap. Lube my cases with spray lube(after cleaning/polishing) then run them thru the redding. Then I use another press and set up the seperate trim resize die to just hold the case straight, then set the power trimmer on top of this( it screws into the top of the die) I adjust it to trim to the desired length. Then I turn on the power and run the cases thru this. That is it. I do not hook up the vacuum as it a pain, but it does throw pretty brass shavings everywhere. But it is fast/accurate/ and holds its adjustment. Make sure it is tight to start with or when you turn it on it has alot of torque and will unscrew it self. Also I think you get one resize/trim die of your choice free when you buy the trimmer. It is a very good product, mine has done 10's of thousands, same blade, never failed.

rifleman
will that trimmer work on any press that is setup for 7/8"X14 dies? Or does it only work on a dillon press?

It will work on any standard press. I set mine up on a rcbs rockchucker.
