Not really, I never even intended to shoot this barrel! I had ordered a 495/505 with a 1:20 from John Krieger. Delivery was 12-14 weeks so I had some time on my hands. I found this barrel for a 458 win mag on closeout fo 60 bucks so I decided to make sure that my breech and crown designs and programming would work on my Savage. This barrel was 26 inches long and 1 1/4 diameter so it needed to be cut to length, tapered, crowned, and finished. The barrel ID absolutely stunk but I didn't care since it was to serve as a template only. When I started getting sub 2 inch groups I decided to lap the bore, which I did this weekend. I expect to remove it as soon as the Krieger barrel arrives but will play with it till then ( Friday will be 14 weeks for the Krieger ). edge. given any thought to the 135gr single shot pistol bullet by sierra?
