Bubba this is a browning stalker with the boss.Going to the range this morning and trying some handloads with 139 gr sst's to see what they will do. Are you still working with the 165 interbonds and h380 and aa4350?Haven't shot my 300wsm lately but have recently tried the 130 interbonds in my 270 wsm with very little results in accuracy with loads that shoot very well with other bullets.Have saw on other boards that others have had problems getting the interbonds to shoot???Have you tried other brands of bullets and different powders yet? Afriend has a tikka and I don't remember if I had given you this load or not before but he shoots (180 gr sst withR-22 @69grains wlrm primers) have seen him shoot one hole groups @100 yds with this load,I tried a 3-shot group in my browning stalker with that load and put 2 in the same hole and pulled the third 1/2 inch to the right,so it would shoot very good in the browning too. Dancoman did you get the ruger to shoot ?You had said you were waiting on one.

I tried some cheap remington 150 flatbased bullets also, best group so far was 2.25 inches (3shots @ 100yds). thats been the best group yet perhaps it is time for a trip back to beretta? I guess that I should try some 180's, but those will be not the best bullet for whitetails. -bubba

Herman i would never get rid of that rifle. It sure is a shooter and so is the owner. Fine group and shooting. I have 2 7m/m magnums. I shoot a 154 grain hornady spire point and I load it with 63 grains of 4350, now this load is off the top of my head, but I believe it is the accuracy load In the Lyman reloading manual. don't take my word as being gospel always check ;D I have killed Deer way out, won't say how far, but way out. I have a Browning BBR which I bought new in 79. This gun is much like the Stalker but has a fancy walnut stock and is blued.
I shoot the Sierra 175 grain Spitzer boat tail bullet which is pushed with 60 grains of IMR-4350 and a CCI #250 primer. The brass I use is Winchester.
This is a heavy bullet but is not made of a hard alloy so they do well on deer. I have lost count of how many deer I have killed with this load, and none have gotten away with a well placed shot.
