I have just completed tests in my 45-70 BPCR with Hodgdon's Triple seven powder...Using 60 grains by volume in Remington brass with federal 215 primers & a .030 vedgtable fiber wad, I seated a 538 gr. Paul Jones creedmoore bullet lubed with Sagebrush Allox lube with about 1/16" of compression, which complies with Hodgdon's .100 maximum...No drop tube was used as per normal bpcr loading...I achieved 2" groups at 200 yds with a cooler barrel, virtually no corrosion to the brass, and 2 dry patches cleaned the bore! No more smell, either...Velocities seemed more consistant, also. Has anyone else on this forum used this powder in ctg's ? I would enjoy any feedback that you have to offer... ;D
