Have a sp-10 that has been nothing but trouble. Had to get a new barrel becauce the camo finish was being pushed off by rust. Then it would not cycle shells. Went back to Rem. They say they replaced the gas piston and testfired and shot fine. Got her home and called in a wad of crows. Still a single shot. Called back to the gun store and my choices are a new sp-10, brninf 10 ga, or store credit. Has anyone had this problem with the sp-10. I would opt for a new sp-10 if I knew it was just a fluke.

I did - I was shooting remington shells.........
the lips were shearing off and clogging hte action
I would try a different type of shell if that is the case.

Sent gun back to rem. Still no better. Had replaced, and new sp-10 started out the same way. I backed the gun up to a tree and fired. ejected hull went about 25ft. talked to rem gunsmith and he said that with all the new recoil pads out that some are better than they should be. They are reducing the back presure too much, not allowing guns to cycle. Started hold ing gun a little tighter and have not had any more problems. just got back from duck and goose huntin and not one mishap. Bottom line '' need mo butt".
