Shot them over the chronograph today and they were 1664, 1650, 1677 fps out of a 22" Winchester 1300 rifled gun. They did group well though!

I know what you mean. Gun Tests Magazine used them in a slug gun evaluation involving three diferent rifles and thay averaged btwn 1820fps (low) to 1844fps (high).
I am wondering, what temp was it out side while you were shooting and how long were the P/Gs exposed to the outside temps? and how exactly have you been keeping them while in storage and at what temp?
I ask because Dave Henderson who is considered by most as one of the fore most athorities on slugs told me at a seminare on slugs that the modified cannon propellent Winchester uses for the P/Gs is tempriture sesative and you will experience a FPS drop in colder temps.
I store without exception all of my loaded ammunition as well as powder and primers in air tight metal .50 cal ammo cans with a disacant block in there as well.
I agree compleatly on your accuracy findings with thr P/Gs. VARY BIG$$$$ though.
