I want to load .410 2 1/2" shotshells with BB's for varmint shooting with a Taurus .410 pistol. Will someone recommend a load for me? Thanks.

Bill, I answered this same question elsewhere but will repeat it again here. If you are talking about BBs intended for a BB gun I believe they are too hard, much harder than steel shot used in shotgun shells. If you are talking about BB size shot you would load they by weight just like any other lead shot.

Thanks for your reply and I did read your other reply as well. I was thinking about using air gun BB's, not lead. Is it not a good idea to use them because their hardness will damage the bore?

Yes, they could damage either the gun and/or the shooter. Years ago when I remember reading about it the rockwell hardness of a BB was mentioned at well as that of a steel shot pellet. Compared to a BB steel shot is fairly soft.
