I'm new at this xbow hunting. Does anyone have any feed back on any of the Parker Xbows?? They seem like a good bow for deer hunting. Any pros or cons info on these bows?? Thanks for the help. Ill be buying a bow sometime this coming January.

:)This response is a "little" late but I have a thumbhole Parker that I really like. I've bowhunted for 49, yes 49, years(shot my 1st deer with a gun, a ML,in 1999) and on and off x-bow hunted for 15 years due to a shoulder injury from an acft accident, thanks to a stripped, over torqued nut on an afterburner fuel line while in USAF. This week is x-bow week, Oct went well with bow. I've owned various PSEs,exposure to Devastator and Horton, terrible experience with Barnet, a Hunter(Ten Pt) and a Parker. The Ten Point/Hunter was excellent but I actually prefer the Parker. With Spitfires, shooting off my knee, I can keep all shots in kill zone @ 60yds. It is light, simple, very accurate, relatively fast, fairly economical to buy($599, including scope, quiver, bolts) - all set up. I did replace the scope rings with Burris Sig rings with offsets in order to keep the scope relatively optically centered. The scope is a Simmons 8-pt which is a surprisingly good scope. So far the Parker is the choice I'd make but I haven't shot all available. I have shot a simple Excalibre (don't know what all versions they make - his was about $499 with nothing extra)that was brand new and the owner plans to trade it for a Parker. I do plan on putting a top end scope on the x-bow(can't gun hunt here, even MLer much due to our season). Hope this helps. PS I shot my 1st deer with a bow in 1957 and my last big game animals were a nice AR black bear with a Hoyt Razorteck on Oct 1,2006 and a nice doe with the Parker X-bow on Oct 2,2006. I practiced too much with the Razorteck and will be shooting the x-bow for a few weeks.
