Congratulations. Do keep a close watch on the large end bolt and the 2 little Allen screws that are on top.

Shot on Sunday Bolts are extremly hard to pull out of the new target Started out at 20 yds with a practice point zeroed in about 3'' high put a 125 Thunderhead on and the bolt hit at the bullseye continued to shoot at 20yd 30yds 40yds and the fartherest was 47.5yds The thunderhead 125 shoot real well I'd feel comfortable shooting out to 47.5yds at a Deer I shoot the same way with a gun as I did with the xbow I shoot on a sand bag at the forearm and then shoulder the weapon I feel this keeps me close to hunting situations I only spent 1 hr working on the xbow I use the 125 thunderheads with my Reflex compound The thunderheads always preform so it looks like I can keep the broadhead part simple. I used the supplied parker carbon bolts I checked the Large bolt and the two allen screws and the seemed ok the only thing that was loose was the phillips screws for the trigger I could go out now and harvest a Deer with confidence

Windy, That's great. I still have to keep a watch on both the 150 and 175 Terminator. I don't know why the broadhead problem for me.

I seen that Nap has come out with a new thunderhead and spitefire broadhed for the Xbow they claim it will help with accuracy and penatration The only downfall is the sell at $39.99 per 3 I don't think I will have to try them Quite satisfied with the regular Cabelas has them listed in there archery catalog or check them out at www.newarcheryproducts.com they are 170 gr.

I have found that , all else equal, the heavier the broadhead on a x-bow, the more accurate. The 10-14% FOC seems to not apply so much for x-bows: maybe more like 20%.

I can't say about the broadheads, but I have tried lighter field points, and found the 125gr points seem the most accurate. I'm thinking of using lighter broadheads (for a flatter trajectory) but should leave the "setup" alone as,I'm consistantly getting good groups 2-3 inches at 50yds with the 125's. 40yds or closer you have to shoot diffrent spots on the target,or you will most likley hit another arrow in the x ring. I've found that trueing up the broadhead, has all but completly eliminated any flight problems. My Parker will shoot 2/3/4 blade heads well (in the 125gr. weight) class. I'm still kicking around the idea of using lighter heads for flatter flight, but I'm pretty sure the accuracy will go down with them. Ron

Here's a pic. of the Broadhead aligner I use. I' ve used it for years on my conventional arrows also to get good flight. Ron

I picked up my Terminator 175 yesterday and with one adjustment on the scope I can but 4 bolts in a 2 inch group. It's great to shoot and I have already put a ton of bolts through it from 20 - 50 yards with incredible accuracy.
This morning we had 15-20 mph winds and my pattern was still real tight with 125 gr broadheads and field points.
Thanks to the guys on this site. I shoot a Parker Extreme Compound but you guys pointed me to the Terminator. I must have shot a couple hundred bolts and I had no problem with any of the fasteners getting loose.
Next weekend we'll have to see if I'm as good and can take a deer.

I used Green Loc Tite last year on my Parker X-Bow and have shot probably 200+ shots since - no loosening. Contrary to all I've said, I'm shooting 100g Rage broadheads currently. I still believe that heavy broadheads are more accurate in X-Bow shooting. The difference between a 100g and a 150g point is only 10'/sec which has minimal effect trajectory wise - likewise @ 50 yds the heavier broadhead'd bolt will have shed slightly less velocity than the lighter bolt. I use the Rages with my recurve and they are just temporarily seeing use with my x-bow.

My x-bow is a Parker Safari Magnum 175, not a Terminator. Is there a difference other than the stock?
