I have a friend who swore that he would never get into the crossbow "craze" as he put it but quess what? He is recanting. Now he is looking for a good crossbow at a reasonable price. I of course told him to search on ebay but if anyone has a Horton, Barnett, Parker, Excalibur or Tenpoint for sale let me know. I think he is being very cost conscious about this endeavor but as we all know once you get the fever the dollars add up........Doug

I have a Horton with scope and crank type cocking mech. Plus bolts etc. I would take $250 for the works but I don't want to bother with shipping it. I would rather a buyer shoot it and determine satisfaction before buying. If anyone wants they can PM me. Ben

Windy - As an avid archer for 50 years, I now shoot a recurve, compound, and Parker #175 crossbow. Some days my back/shoulder just aren't in for bow shooting. The X-B allows shooting w/o drawing and at more directions from my treestand. It doesn't allow for greater range though. I am about as accurate with the compound(#58 Hoyt Razortek) to 50 yds as with the Parker. The only range advantage I see with the x-bow is the greater velocity so less time exists for deer movement during arrow flite. The x-bow does allow for greater flexibility for shooting and if any form of a handi-cap exists. For those "purists" , both compounds and crossbows are machines for the most part. Ben - why are you selling your nice x-bow? Any potential buyers: Ben Boyd takes very good care of his eq, no need for concern on condition.

I have an Excalibur and I have 4 friends that have them. If you are looking for accuracy every shot, out to fifty yards, it doesn't compare. IMO Excalibur is to crossbow hunting as the Savage MLII is to muzzleloading. It's awesome.

SW. We dpn't care for the meat and with my feeder and setup there is little challenge to taking a deer. The young man that helped me get set up, took care of the fielddressing and all joined the Marine Corp. I don't need to sell it but thought if I could give someone a good deal some good use could be made of the equipment. I like the bow because it has a deal that compensates for range differences. Accuracy was ok. I can keep bolts in a three inch circle at 30 yards. I have killed turkey, raccoon and several deer with it. Even squirell. Ben.
