My Bride of 36 years is having surgery to remove an ovary. The doc says it is three time the normal size. If it is cancerous is not known, but my wife has had two other cancer surgeries previously. One of which was malignant (sp). She also has a hernia. The last heavy snow fall we had (26") after the clutch went on my plow truck, my bride helped me shovel 500' of driveway.
I recently had a lung xray and the doc found a small spot on my left lung. It might just be scar tissue. I must have additional work done for a biopsy. The doc said it is so small, very early in diagnosis. Not to worry.
My request is not for myself, but for my wife. Needless to say that I am very worried and she is also.
Thanks in advance.

Have faith brother,, I went thru the same thing a few years ago. With the wife it ended up being small tumors which they biopsied before they closed her up. They were not malignant but the type that can go bad quick so the decision was made for a hysterectomy. It was also a big scare for us but I like to think that perhaps God puts these challenges in the path to make us stronger. My prayers are with you...

I hope to offer some encouragement. In 1973 a malignant cancer gave me to a serious wake up call. To surgury I lost a kidney, the tube that permits the kidney to drain into the bladder and half my bladder. I know a lot of prayer was sent up on my behalf. I also know that I have had a great 35 years of living since that low valley in my life. The C word is never good news but it is not necessarily a death warrant. Since my surgury, surgeons have developed means of avoiding splitting you wide open. They even removed a rib to get my kidney out. Didn't make me a extra wife or even a nurse out ot that rib. But Swede, Ozark will be thinking of you and your wife and I would like to see you and her both recover fully. I have been told by many that my positive attitude was a healing factor. I believed that I would get over it and never let it cause me a lot of depression. Now, let me rush on to say that it sure got my attention and an awareness that I did not control everything. I just decided to rearrange my proirities and make the best life I could out of what was left. It has been a great ride. I hope it is Gods will that you and your wife climb from this valley back to enjoy the view from the top of the mountain. I believe that Gods Will will be done and that the prayers of a righous person availith much. I do wish you well. Ben

swede
best wishes with the mrs.
on to you, hopefully to ease your mind some. I have had lung cancer, it wasnt anything small (grapefruit sized blobby in there). I also have a small spot on my 'good' side. My advice is, get a cat scan asap, you will have a baseline upon which to compare later, they monitored mine for 2 years with cat scans, they show soooo much more than the xrays. They concluded it was a birth defect or a scar from an infection, either way, it hasnt changed and it not to worry.
I will keep your mrs in my prayers

Praying for both of you. I hope that He heals both of you and blesses the doctors that He will use to work on both of you.

Brought the wife home this weekend. Things are starting to look up and we can see the light at the end of the tunnel. She still has six months of chemo to go through but she is doing better.
Thanks to All ...

Swede, sorry for the late reply. Sounds like God has listened to all the prayers. I pray now that God is working in your and your wife's lives and that strength and health will be the outcome through these health struggles.
Your Love for your wife is evident and God has seen that!
Thank you Lord Jesus.
