Had a slow start to this years turkey season but things started looking up today. I was set up in a ground blind with my B mobile decoy with a real fan from last years jake and a crouched hen. This guy came in charging with 2 of his buddies. I shot him at 15 yrds with my switchback XT and allen spider broadheads ( resharpened ) he only tavelled 20 ft. this bird weighed in at 22 lbs and had a 10 in. beard and 1 in. spurs.

Anything taken with a bow adds a special feeling to it! Great job!

It is always a thrill when they respond to your decoys like that and you finish the job. What did the others do when one took the hit. I have seen them do all kinds of things. Even with a shotgun I have seen them run and jump on the one that is down. Good job. Ben

After this guy was shot his buddies proceeded to kick the you know what out of him. I guess it's a dominant thing. I could have easily shot either of the remaining two but we are only allowed to take one turkey a day. It'll give me an excuse to go out again. I've heard different comments on the strutting tom decoy ( B-Mobile) that's why I put a juvenile tail on the decoy to be less intimiating to any male turkey that might come in and it worked flawlessly.
