Here are some photos of a Richards Microfit Thumbhole stock for a Savage ML I just finished for one of our members. I added a aluminum tube, .060" wall thickness, to house his ramrod then "glassed" over the top of it. I put a thumb screw at the tip of the stock to secure the ramrod. Two aluminum pillars were installed to hold the action. (Richards does not put in pillars, just the holes) and then a third thumb screw was installed (thru the front of the trigger guard) to allow the easy removal of the bolt. The action was bedded from the recoil lug to the front of the trigger. Richards also gives you the stock with a blind magazine well cut out for use with centerfire rifles. This well was also filled so that full bedding could occur. The stock itself is very nice and well finished. They do however, need to be at least, glass bedded Richard
