That is an impressive looking rifle. I hope and expect it to be as accurate as it is beautiful. I believe it is a .22 LR. I have discovered that target ammo is a little more accurate but with a little less velocity. Hope Q standards are head shots only. Ben

It is a .22.I was having trouble tightening up the groups being left-handed.Some of the tighter groups were shot by "Q" .Here is the worst groups of the day.We were forced to use the 50 yd range and a shaky table. Here are the results and I can say I am not disappointed. We only shot 2 different types of ammo.CCI mini-mags and CCI Velociters.Winchester power-points are next, followed by some match ammo.

Some of these are acceptable. I think when yuo try match ammunition that the groups will shrink considerable. Even if not, it is doing well enough to take head shots. Ben

Many of these groups opened because of the table we were forced to shoot off of.It was very flimsy.I am positive this gun will do much better.

Ive got one about 4-5 years ago with a composite stock. Mine likes just about any ammo I feed it. CCI Mini Mags are what shoots the best. I hunt tree rats with Rem Thunderbolts.
You can do a trigger job using Coke cans for shims that will take some of the creep off the trigger. I think its on Rim Fire Central.com Mike

No, mine is not the accutrigger. Instead of using shims i filed off part of the trigger sear and that took about 1/2 the creep out. I forgot Savage started making them with the accutrigger. mike
