Well the Knight DISC Elite .45 cal got good and broken in this evening at 6:30 pm. I set up my Johnny Stewart Preymaster 3 and turned on the Desperate cottontail sound. Before the first series ended, a couple of crows flew in and lit. Then...moments after the caller stopped, in snuck this big ol male coyote. He trotted in on full alert, and I said 'Hey you!" . He stopped at 56 yards broadside. I just put crosshairs on him and squeezed. He was dead on the spot. Not a twitch. 105 grains of Blackhorn 209, a harvester (light blue) sabot, a 200 grain 40 cal xtp, plain CCI 209 primer. The picture is of the entrance hole. The exit was worse. I'm assuming that my muzzle velocity is just under 2100 fps with these 200 grain xtp's with 105 grains of Blackhorn. I was mildly shocked to see such an entrance. I took a pic of the coyoye right after the shot. That's where lay when he expired. I must've hit a bone. I would have examined him closer but I didn't wanna catch some kind of weird cooties. So I grabbed a hind foot and flung him out of the cow pasture. Made the farmer/landowner happy that I snuffed him. I'm welcome back for more coyotes.......and deer, come fall.

Nice. Our season closed in March. How long can you hunt out there?

Nice. Our season closed in March. How long can you hunt out there? You can hunt coyotes year around w/ no bag limit in TN. Went back this morning and called in a skunk and a crow. The skunk was probably already in the vicinity.
