Haven't seen a turkey or sign of turkey in our area in months. The population has been in decline for three or four years and now it seems we have none or very few. I have no idea what the reasons are. I sure enjoy hunting them but it looks like doing so will be a few years down the road here. How about in your areas. Ozark

for the most part the turkey population is getting better. but in some areas it is declining because of coyotes. a friend of mine was in an area that was plentiful of turkeys. but he found coyote scat with feathers in it and he found the remains of a turkey that was partially eaten.
